The French advertising holding company Publicis Groupe has inaugurated its first Ghana office in Airport City, Accra, bringing 40 full-time staff and a mandate to serve both local and regional clients.

A Strategic Move

The expansion follows strong organic growth from Publicis's existing Nigerian and Kenyan offices. Ghana was chosen for its stable business environment, growing consumer class, and its role as a regional headquarters for several multinationals.

CEO of Publicis West Africa, Jerome Fontan, said: "Ghana is increasingly where the region's marketing decisions are being made. We want to be where our clients are."

What It Means for Local Talent

The office will initially house Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, and Publicis Sapient practices. Local hiring is prioritised, with a graduate programme targeting students from GIMPA, University of Ghana, and Ashesi.
