Ghana's marketing industry has crowned its most celebrated creatives of 2025 at the annual Ghana Marketing Excellence Awards. We profile the top three award recipients and the campaigns that earned them national recognition.
Kojo Mensah — Dentsu Ghana
Kojo's 'Ama's First Day' campaign for a national banking client depicted a young woman navigating her first salaried job using mobile banking — told entirely without dialogue, in a three-minute film. The campaign clocked 4.2 million organic views on YouTube in six weeks.
Abena Owusu — Ogilvy Accra
Abena led the creative direction on a pan-African health initiative campaign that ran across Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. Her use of local dialect humour to communicate health messaging is now being studied as a case study in the WHO's Africa communications playbook.
Nii Laryea — Freelance
The only independent to make the top three, Nii's brand identity work for three of Ghana's fastest-growing fintech startups has redefined what a Ghanaian tech brand can look like — moving away from blue-and-green corporate defaults toward bold, Afrocentric palettes.
