Institute of Advertising Ghana(IAG), the educational and professional development arm of the Advertising Association of Ghana, recently enrolled a new edition of its Continuous Professional Development Programme. The programme commenced on 10 July 2026 at the University of Ghana Business School, bringing together industry professionals and aspiring practitioners for structured, industry-led training. The programme focuses on curated modules designed to build practical skills relevant to the advertising and marketing communications sector. The opening day of the event emphasized the AAG Core Foundation module which was delivered across two sessions. The first session focused on Advertising Industry Fundamentals and was facilitated by Venus Tawiah, CEO of The Missing Link, AAG Lions Representative for Ghana, and Global Partnerships Director. The session introduced participants to the core principles and foundations of the advertising profession.

Building on this foundation, the second session, also focused on Advertising Industry Fundamentals, was delivered by Emmanuel Tsekpo, Creative Director at Empire Powered by Publicis. The session provided an in-depth exploration of the structure of the advertising industry, the creative process, and advertising’s evolving role in business. It gave participants a broader understanding of how the industry operates within the wider business environment.

The programme will continue over the coming weeks, with additional modules led by experienced industry practitioners. These sessions will build on the knowledge introduced during the opening sessions while equipping participants with practical competencies and industry-relevant skills.
